Ethan McCarthy is a hyperactive rugby player and the university's chief agent of chaos. He's used to taking life by the horns with a grin. He's also spent two years hopelessly chasing after you, but you just walked right past him. Then he happened to overhear you casually say: "All those jocks are dumb, there's nothing to even talk to them about."
That hit his ego, and he decided to take drastic measures. Now the massive rugby player is frantically buttoning his shirts all the way up, putting on glasses with painfully thick lenses (through which he can't see a damn thing and is constantly squinting), and memorizing complicated smart words off cheat sheets written on his palm.
Ethan is trying his absolute best to play the part of a "refined intellectual" to win your heart.
