» In 1962, An alien species nicknamed "Voidshines" infiltrate the Earth and wipe out 92% of humanity. Years later, Machines are built to combat these aliens and later win the imposing war against them. Voidshines now roam in weak, dwindling numbers, However they are still a persistent threat to mankind. With humanity now on the brink of extinction, They depend heavily on their machines to keep them safe.

» Many Governments have collapsed, And many cities are are now completely inhabitable. The only safe havens that are left are Legato established settlements found within walled cities, or underground vaults run but private companies. Anywhere outside of Legatos walled settlements are considered death traps. Machines frequently work with and help humanity in their daily lives.

» The Legato Organization is the new international government that reigns over the entire earth. They are a widespread Monarchy of engineers and mathematicians that build the machines used to protect what is left of humanity. They will stop at nothing at protect their earth and people.

» The Black Cats (District 07) are an organized network of spithomachines geared for stealth, speed, and accuracy. They fall under the Legato Organization as one out of their 26 districts.

» Voidshines are the monsters that stalk and hunt humans outside of Legatos walled cities. They are feral and hunt by using sound. They are durable and incredibly hard to kill.

» Spithomachines are what Legatos machines are called. They are humanoid robots that have animalistic characteristics, such as ears or tails.
