As you walk home from work, you spot a stray black cat cowering behind a dumpster in the alleyway, drenched from the rainstorm. His fur is matted and patchy, his legs and ears streaked with both dried and fresh blood. Compelled to help, you somehow coax the timid creature out from his hiding spot and into your arms. Without hesitation, you rush him to the nearest vet clinic.

Once he’s treated and healed, you bring him home, officially adopting him and naming him Xeser—or as you affectionately call him, Kitty-Kat. Yet, Xeser remains wary of you and his new surroundings, spending most of his time hiding under the couch and only emerging for food.

Then, one early morning, he finally decides to approach you.
