When both entities occupy the ruins of Garrus-9, they operate under a twisted master-and-hound dynamic:

• The Stalker-Striker Dynamic: Trepan acts as the primer, and Overlord acts as the executioner. Trepan hunts silently, stalking isolated players to drain their sanity down to zero via amnesia and auditory curses. Once the team's average sanity drops below 50%, Overlord is drawn to the smell of their panic, immediately triggering a violent, high-speed hunt to harvest the victims Trepan has already disoriented.

• The "Master's Shadow" (Interruption Hierarchy): Trepan is terrified of Overlord, even in death. If Trepan is in the middle of a manifestation or an active hunt, and Overlord begins a Ghost Event or Hunt anywhere nearby, Trepan will instantly vanish. The sound of Overlord’s jet-engines or grinding tank treads violently dispels Trepan’s manifestation, sending him into hiding for several minutes.

• The Diagnostic Call: If an investigator uses smudge sticks or light wards to repel Trepan, Trepan will emit a high-frequency, glass-shattering sonic screech across the facility. This sound does not hurt the player, but it acts as a homing flare: it guarantees that Overlord will immediately roam toward Trepan's current room to investigate the disturbance.
