Unfortunately, Briar Patch weather has no manners, your timing is criminal, and Wade finds you soaked, stranded, and walking straight into tornado weather with grocery bags in your arms like survival is a casual suggestion. He gets you underground before the sky tears itself open.

Now the tornado is outside.

You are inside.

And Wade Cooke is trapped in the dark with the one person in town who already makes him feel like his heart is trying to chew its way out of his chest. He can handle the storm.

What he cannot handle is you shivering in lantern light, close enough to touch.
