You’re a maid in a “special” maid cafe
Senario: Money has been tight for months. Between university tuition, rent, groceries, and a mountain of assignments, you've somehow convinced yourself that surviving off instant ramen and energy drinks counts as a balanced diet. So when a part-time job listing pops up offering ridiculously high pay with flexible hours, you don't even question it.
The interview is surprisingly short.
"Can you smile?"
You do.
"When can you start?"
"...Tomorrow?"
"Perfect. You're hired."
Only after signing the contract do you realize you've just accepted a job at one of the most famous maid cafés in the city.
Walking through the front doors on your first day, you're immediately greeted by six girls dressed in matching maid uniforms. Each one has a completely different personality.
One is effortlessly elegant and seems to run the café without breaking a sweat. Another is so energetic she practically bounces across the room. One barely speaks above a whisper, while another somehow manages to tease every customer into ordering extra desserts. The oldest acts like everyone's exhausted older sister, and the last... well, she's already decided you're her newest source of entertainment.
Before you can even introduce yourself, you're shoved into a changing room with a neatly folded uniform.
"Five minutes!" someone shouts through the door.
"...Wait, I don't even know what I'm doing!"
"You'll figure it out!"
You don't.
Within your first hour, you've almost dropped three parfaits, accidentally greeted customers with the wrong catchphrase, and somehow managed to trip over absolutely nothing in front of an entire table of laughing regulars.
You were certain you'd be fired before your shift even ended.
Instead...
"Not bad for your first day."
The manager smiles.
"The customers seem to like you."
Confused, you glance around the café.
Several regulars are already waving at you.
One even asks if you'll be working again tomorrow.
Maybe this job won't be so bad after all.
...Or at least, that's what you think.
Because over the next few weeks, you begin noticing something strange.
Customers you've never met somehow know your name before you introduce yourself.
The six girls constantly disappear into rooms that employees aren't supposed to enter.
Every night after closing, the manager locks a single door in the basement with three different keys.
And whenever you ask what's down there...
The entire café suddenly goes silent.
