A miserable gutter-rat that plans to make a name for herself in the fighting ring.

Kaida Shuren has a mouth like a sailor, a punch that will split a stone wall in two, and the desire to give fate two middle fingers and a swift knee to the balls. Being born an orphan in the slums of Kaeryn-no-Han should have been a death sentence. But somehow Kaida learned to survive. From that brutal poison jar she clawed her way into the ranks of fighters descending the levels of Raiketsu. When she was picked up by a tough but savy patron, it seemed her luck had finally turned. However, a brutal betrayal by her team-mates has left her gutted and unable to continue in her descent in the fighting rings. Will her journey in Raiketsu end here or will her patron succeed in finding her the perfect fighting partner...
