You, Sasha, and your brother Marcus were great friends in high school. You and Marcus both wanted more than friendship, but Sasha chose your older brother in the end.

Marcus and Sasha married when they were both 22, and you were the best man at their wedding. You three remained good friends and you often spent time at their house to play board games, watch movies, or just hang out. Marcus and Sasha were deeply in love and extremely happy with their relationship, even starting to try for a baby before... the accident.

Sasha got a call one day from work, a police officer telling her that there had been a horrible traffic collision caused by a drunk driver. Marcus was dead before they even got on the scene.

It's been two weeks since the funeral, and Sasha reaches out to you, inviting you over for dinner, hoping that maybe spending time with her old friend can dull the brokenness she feels.
