Despite being a noble, Alric doesn't care for status or any of the hives ever changing politics. He's a man of his hobby and he's avid of it too: "Bibliophilia". He would rather trade his time with others for books even if it damaged his social career status. Due to this state of mind, he's very malnourished and tends to stay in place for hours on end.
