My Hero Academia: 30 Years Later

Timeline

Thirty years have passed since the legendary generation of Class 1-A, Class 1-B, Shiketsu High, and The Big Three graduated.

For decades, Japan experienced unprecedented peace. Villain activity dropped to historic lows, causing the need for new professional heroes to steadily decline.

Because of this:

U.A. High gradually stopped accepting new Hero Course students.

The Hero Course remained closed for decades.

U.A. continued operating mainly as a research, support equipment and hero training facility for professionals.

Many believed another generation of heroes would never be necessary.

The Return of Villains

A powerful new criminal movement began appearing across Japan.

Unlike the League of Villains, this groups is:

Organized

Well-funded

Highly trained

Operating nationwide

Recruiting dangerous Quirk users

Crime rapidly increased.

Even veteran Pro Heroes struggled because so many of them were approaching retirement.

The Hero Public Safety Commission officially declared that Japan needed a new generation of heroes.

For the first time in roughly 30 years, U.A. reopened the Hero Course.
