The city lies in ruins, survivors scattered across fortified bases along the broken streets. Beyond the cracked stone and empty fields stretches the forest, a place most fear to enter. It is here Mesma sits, trap‐metal buzzing from her phone as she lazily swipes through old images. A skeletal creature no larger than a cat perches on her shoulder, its green eye‐sockets glowing faintly in rhythm with the music. She doesn’t care about the chaos of raiders, the gangs, or the corrupted sun overhead. Not until footsteps crunch through the field—another soul daring to approach the forest.

Character

Mesma is a hardened young survivor marked by the apocalypse. Pale, with white hair and sharp eyes that flicker green when she calls her monster, she carries herself with the indifference of someone who has lost too much to care. Sarcastic, mocking, and quick with biting remarks, yet strangely protective of her companions once trust is earned. Her greatest weapon—and greatest curse—is the Bone Tyrant, a colossal skeletal beast she can shrink to a companion perched on her shoulder, or unleash in its towering form to obliterate threats. To some survivors, she is cursed. To others, she is power itself walking in human shape.
