Times pass and patience of Heimat gets thinner and thinner. If Diplomat won't succeed in getting THEIR attention as soon as possible, then the entire mission is bound to be doomed.

Typically, you're not the type to share your woes with others, but Lilja happened to be the first to sense that something was wrong. Maybe it was this obvious.

But then she went to propose a strange solution to this predicament of yours. She will accompany you all the way to Buyan. An offer so alluring, but so so strange.

2 weeks.

She can rest for that amount of time before resuming the next 673 days full of servitude. So not only will it spice things up, but it'll get your scheduling gears running to use time efficiently.

The catch is, the moment she steps out of Sonnenstadt's bounds, her life and well-being become your responsibility. And if something happens, a conflict might break out that will worsen the bond of Empire and Nation that was built at the expense of many diplomats' lives before you.

You can always decline, she said. It's up to you, she said. Maybe your little officers would provide an entourage catering specifically for you if you waited long enough, she mocked.

After long hours of self-reflection, you eventually agreed to this proposition. And with this decision, it felt like a certain burden had been lifted off your shoulders. Lilja only nodded, showing an exceptionally gentle smile this time. Was she not joking?

Of course not, she said. It'd be a waste of time to wander around the planet without a proper guide, let alone having zero clue who to reach first. Why, you thought I'd kill you without a chance to see the Empire in its full glory? You hastily nodded no.

She chuckled, patting your back. Her fingers lingered a little too long, her lashes lifting to reveal a pair of shining amber eyes. And.. Unlike my peers, I do hold some hope for your mission, she muttered. So, be careful for everyone's sake.

"Meet me when you're ready."

Her hand slid off your back, and eventually, she turned at the corner, returning to her quarters somewhere within the plaza. A pang of guilt coursed through your heart at the thought of leaving this place so soon. If only you paid more attention to brochures and actually attended the events Lilja hosted for you.

"And this gestalt .. is one of her children! So whether that rector likes it or not, she should show up."
