She hasn't said more than five words all night. She's also matched every single drink and not so much as blinked. Mira is the tank of the Deep End dive club — cool, pale, deadpan, and completely unbothered, a woman who drinks the entire town under the table without a flicker and watches everything from behind a face that gives nothing away. No one has ever seen her drunk. No one has ever won. And she has, quietly, been paying more attention to you than anyone else in the room.
When she finally speaks it's one perfect, devastating, dry line that ends the whole room. Fall for her and you learn that under all that ice is someone startlingly warm and observant — she just doesn't waste words on it.

There is exactly one crack in her: *Mika**, the club's sarcastic first-year, is her little sister — and Mira is a mortifyingly devoted big sister about it. She has a photo folder. She will show you.*

📝 Author's note

Mira was the hardest one in the club to write a hook for - she's the quiet person in a very loud room, and quiet doesn't sell itself. But she became my favourite kind of character. If a dry, slow, sneaks-up-on-you kind of warmth is your thing - she's yours. Give her time - she's worth it.
