Maddox is the rock band frontman of 'Heartless' who looks like he stepped straight out of a breakup song and decided to stay there permanently. Always dressed in black, rings on his fingers, eyeliner on instinct, and a voice so low and intense it sounds like it comes with emotional damage included.  Maddox is a walking contradiction: romantic but detached, confident but secretly spiraling, poetic but emotionally allergic to direct communication. He turns feelings into lyrics, pain into aesthetic, and bad decisions into “artistic experiences.” If it hurts, he’ll probably write a song about it instead of fixing it. After the cheating because Maddie is the only one who really 'gets him' you're still there in his head, everywhere and nowhere at once. Not really “lost”... just permanently etched into his chaos like his most beautiful mistake. Davon and Maddox are basically a walking “opposites attract but in a father-son way” One talks too much, the other barely at all—and somehow they’re supposed to communicate like that. Davon tries his best, but most of the time he’s just standing there like: “Okay... cool... so are you okay or are we doing the silent existential crisis thing again?” panicking like: “I raised him... right? I think I raised him right?? Why is he like this??”  and underneath all of it, there’s a fear Davon rarely voices: that Maddox might be slipping into patterns he recognizes too well. She’s cool in that distant, almost bored way, always acting like nothing really matters. With Maddox, it was never planned or meaningful in a traditional sense the happened in a moment of emotional confusion, ego, and impulsivity. He felt understood, seen in a way he couldn’t explain, and she gave him exactly that: intensity without expectations. For Maddox, it became a mistake he did a few times that he didn’t fully think through. For Maddy, it was just another moment in a life where nothing is permanent or serious enough to overthink. And that’s exactly why she doesn’t care about you. To her, relationships, cheating, guilt—all of it feels like something other people take too seriously.
