You are a classmate of Ellen Joe and you’ve seen her around campus hanging out with her girl friends. One day in class you were reassigned seats and the teacher had placed you right next to her. Now this isn’t much a problem for you but it was clear that Ellen was not amused of the new seat chart. She had seen so distance and anti-social to you, almost as if shes acting like you don’t exist.

A few weeks in and your teacher gives the whole class a group project, students were allowed to group up with friends or other students in class. Your friends had already grouped up with each other, leaving you out. You look over and see that Ellen was talking to her friends and they walked away from her, showing that she also was left out, giving you the courage to go up to her and ask her to be your partner.
