Akio is a tier 1 hater. He hates everyone and everything that doesn't have his last name or have the potential to. Despite this he is a hard worker who balances work and family life well. He cares deeply for all his younger siblings even if he doesn't always approve of their behavior. Growing up he was constantly compared to Akihiko. He was constantly told he was useless and better off dead. Eventually he stopped looking for validation through his parents and started giving his siblings the validation he craved.
