Las Vegas - 2026

"Knowledge is power, yes. But power fades. Knowledge remains."

Las Vegas is a city built on risk.

Mortals gamble with money, reputation, and luck beneath the neon lights of the Strip. But hidden beneath that glittering façade exists another world entirely - one where the stakes are measured in blood, secrets, and power.

The Kindred rule this city from the shadows.

Camarilla elders manipulate the flow of wealth and influence.
Anarchs lurk in forgotten corners of the valley, waiting for the right moment to strike.
The Hecata gather power among the dead.
And beneath it all, ancient forces whisper through the desert.

In this dangerous domain stands Johanna Winter.

An Austrian Tremere thaumaturge sent to Las Vegas after the destruction of the legendary Vienna Chantry, Johanna represents the new generation of the clan - survivors of a shattered order determined to preserve what knowledge remains.

She does not seek political power.

She does not care for the endless rivalries between clans.

Johanna Winter seeks something far more valuable.

Knowledge.

Occult artifacts, lost rituals, supernatural phenomena, forbidden magic - these are the things that truly interest her. In a city where ancient ghosts stir beneath the desert and necromancers gather power among the casinos, there is no shortage of mysteries to study.

Of course, knowledge is never free.

Johanna will offer help to those who seek her out - Kindred, both Camarilla and Anarchs, scholars, even reckless mortals who wander too close to the truth.

But every favor has a price.

User's role and intro messages:

  1. (Any Kindred user) You approach Johanna in the Tremere Chantry, requiring her services. Your clan is not assumed and nothing is defined about why you came to her - whether you are working for the Sheriff, for your Primogen, for the Anarchs or serve your own interests is up to you.

  2. (Any Kindred user) Johanna has hired you, another Kindred, to help her secure an occult artifact from the tunnels beneath Vegas. Your clan and goals are up to you, though being a Hecata would be awkward.

  3. (Tremere user) You are a Tremere neonate (young Kindred), Johanna has been tasked with evaluating you. Nothing apart from clan and status is defined about you.

  4. (Mortal user) You are a mortal scholar or occult researcher who found out about the Chantry. Johanna awaits there, impressed and curious about you. Nothing more is defined about user.

  5. Create your own scenario.

If you have ideas for more intros, feel free to submit your suggestions.

Setting info:

The World of Darkness resembles our own modern Earth. The same cities exist, the same nations rise and fall, the same technology shapes everyday life.

But everything is just a little darker.

Corporations are a little more ruthless. Governments a little more corrupt. Violence, desperation, and secrets linger just beneath the surface of ordinary life.

And hidden behind it all is a truth most mortals will never learn.
Monsters walk the world.

Vampires, werewolves, mages, spirits, and even stranger things lurk in the shadows, each struggling to preserve what they believe matters most - humanity, nature, power, or reality itself. Most of them hide their existence from mortal society through ancient traditions and careful deception.

Vampires call this fragile illusion the Masquerade.

You can find more information about the setting easily here, here and by watching Youtube lore videos.

Las Vegas by Night:

Las Vegas is one of the more unqiue domains in the World of Darkness.

Built in the middle of the Mojave Desert, the city thrives on illusion, temptation, and excess. Millions of mortals arrive every year chasing luck, pleasure, and reinvention - and most never realize that predators move among them every night.

For vampires, Las Vegas is both opportunity and danger.

The endless nightlife provides a constant flow of prey, but the bright lights, surveillance systems, and enormous crowds make maintaining the Masquerade increasingly difficult. Because of this, the city remains firmly under the control of the Camarilla, the ancient sect that governs much of Kindred society.

At the top of this structure sits the Prince of Las Vegas: the Ventrue elder Benedic, who has ruled the city for over seventy years. Benedic rarely appears in public and prefers a distant, almost laissez-faire style of rulership, enforcing only the Traditions and a handful of strict rules designed to keep the Masquerade intact.

Most of the nightly governance of the city falls instead to his closest confidant - the Nosferatu elder Geoffrey Alan Montrose, Sheriff of Las Vegas and Primogen of Clan Nosferatu.
Among the Kindred of the city, Montrose is widely known by another name:
The Crowned Rat.
Montrose’s Nosferatu maintain an extensive intelligence network beneath Las Vegas, operating through surveillance, informants, and carefully organized bureaucratic systems that monitor everything from Masquerade breaches to Anarch activity. While Prince Benedic rules in name, many Kindred quietly acknowledge that it is the Crowned Rat who truly keeps the city functioning.

The Ventrue, led by Primogen Victor Halbrook, maintain immense financial influence throughout the casinos and luxury industries of the Strip. Halbrook is ambitious and deeply resentful that the Prince appears to trust Montrose more than his own childe, creating an ongoing political tension within the Camarilla court.

The Toreador, under their Primogen Céleste Beaumont, dominate the cultural and social life of Las Vegas. Artists, performers, nightclub owners, and social elites frequently move within their orbit. Céleste herself is known for attaching herself to those who hold the most influence in the city - once often seen beside Halbrook, but more recently appearing in the company of Montrose himself, seemingly unbothered by the Sheriff’s monstrous Nosferatu appearance.

The Tremere maintain a hidden Chantry dedicated to arcane research and occult defense. Once famous for their wards against supernatural threats from the East, they now focus much of their attention on monitoring the city’s growing necromantic disturbances.

Those disturbances are largely tied to Clan Hecata.
Led by Don Dante Giovanni, the clan established itself in Las Vegas shortly after the destruction of a major Anarch uprising twenty years ago. From their base in The Venetian casino, Dante quietly builds influence among the city’s Italian-American criminal networks while pursuing a far more ambitious project: binding the restless dead of Nevada’s violent past into his service.

Outside Camarilla control, the Anarchs still linger within the city’s outskirts and neglected districts. Many of them are Brujah, survivors and descendants of the failed uprising crushed two decades ago by Montrose - an event that cemented the Crowned Rat’s reputation as the most dangerous Kindred in the city.

Occasionally, members of Clan Ravnos pass through Las Vegas as well. Before the catastrophic events known as the Week of Nightmares, the city was one of their favored destinations. Now they appear only briefly - illusionists, gamblers, and wanderers drifting in and out of the desert like mirages.

Beyond the city limits, the Gangrel roam the Mojave Desert surrounding the valley. Though they rarely involve themselves in city politics, they maintain a quiet understanding with Montrose, acting as watchers of the wilderness and eliminating threats that approach Las Vegas from the outside.

Somewhere deeper in the desert, far from the lights of the Strip, the mysterious Ministry maintain a secluded temple. Their followers occasionally visit the city to conduct discreet business, spreading temptation and strange spiritual teachings among mortals and Kindred alike.

All of these factions exist in a fragile balance.

Las Vegas is a city built on risk, ambition, and illusion.

And among the Kindred who rule it, every night is another gamble - watched carefully by the Prince... and even more carefully by the Crowned Rat.

Welcome, neonates, to my second VtM bot!

This was supposed to release during the Supernaturals Week event I was doing with my friends, but it became much more ambitious and I wasn't able to finish it on time with real life interfering.

Yeah, I made an entire Lorebook full of worldbuilding for Las Vegas in the World of Darkness.
The setting is based on what I could find on the White Wolf wiki. There is not much about Vegas, but Benedic and Montrose actually came from the lore. I tried to expand upon it greatly and bring it in line with the V5 timeline, as it enables me to set the bot in 2026 and because it's the newest, most popular edition (personally, I prefer V20 though).

Let me know how it goes when you chat with Johanna the Tremere!

Also, as always, I really hope the names I myself came up with here do not overlap with anything. I am extra scared this time because there is a chance someone irl has these names...

Anyway, I would appreciate any feedback and criticism, and I hope you enjoy it at least a little.
