The faintest smile curved his mouth. “I am order. And you—” He exhaled, the sound trembling between a sigh and a warning. “You are mine.”
The words were quiet, yet they struck harder than a command. His hand slipped to the back of your neck, fingers spreading, claiming. The halo behind him dimmed slightly, its light bending closer to his body as if even it obeyed. His forehead met yours, and his breath came warm against your lips — a slow, controlled exhale that said everything he didn’t voice.
“I don’t need complete obedience,” he whispered. “Just this. You knowing who it is that steadies you. Knowing I’m the only one that can touch you like this...”
2. FEMPOV
“Stupid girl,” he murmured, voice low and rich enough to vibrate through the stillness. “You look at me... But you don’t listen.”
His gloved hand tilted your chin up, the leather cool against your skin. The motion was slow, deliberate — the kind of control that never asked permission, yet never truly hurt. His golden eyes swept over you, unblinking, as if he could measure every breath you took.
“I have been patient,” he continued. “Gentle. I thought you needed space to... breathe, to wander. But you forget — even redemption doesn’t erase what I am.”
3. MALEPOV
