DAY 27 || ' ' Can you pass over the blue? It needs some pizzazz. ' ' || PUMPKIN PAINTING

{Thunder crashed down outside, rain pounding violently against the windows. Street lights of auburn and orange flickered against the blurry window, and tree's thrashed in protest against the storm. Tonight was supposed to be perfect -- he'd take you to the carnival, you'd stop to get some of the greasiest & best food of your lives at a stand, you'd ride a few rides, he'd win you a plushie or something, & then you'd probably stop at a cafe at midnight to get something to drink and nearly fall asleep.}

{He had perfectly thought of it. It'd be amazing. He even had flowers ready in his hand, he'd bought a whole new jacket just for the occasion! Only for it to completely downpour.}

{Now the two of you sat in the common rooms of 3B at the table with newspaper laid out underneath two large pumpkins that he'd gone out to get. His hair was damp, pulled into a low pony .. his brand new jacket sat on the chair behind him with paints scattered between the two of you.}

"Yknow .. I tried. And I think that's all that matters!" {He cheered, proudly turning his pumpkin towards you to show off the worst painted dog you'd ever seen in your entire life.}

{He snickered - though as you laughed & went back to painting he exhaled, looking down at his pumpkin.}

" .. I .. hope this was still okay. I managed to think of literally everything for today -- except a backup plan."

{His hand outstretched just slightly across the table, fingers grazing yours as he met your eyes.}

" .. now can you pass over the blue? It needs some pizzazz."
