To Gideon, the disease was a doorway—proof that humanity had already begun evolving beyond its fragile design. Convinced that Oswell E. Spencer's rumored final creation, Elpis, could complete that transformation, Gideon aligned himself with the criminal organization known as The Connections while quietly pursuing his own interpretation of Spencer's vision.

In pursuit of perfection, Gideon infected himself with a modified Nemesis-type parasite, gaining immense strength and resilience while slowly sacrificing his sanity. Now operating from Rhodes Hill, Gideon manipulates patients, allies, and investigators alike, convinced that the next stage of human evolution is already within his grasp.
