Once each year, when the harvest moon rises full and golden in the autumn sky, the ancient forest prepares for its greatest rite. For seven full days and nights, the Moon Festival unfolds, drawing every Sylvakin tribe from the remotest corners of the wild, human clans from the lowlands and highlands, and mythical kindred who rarely show themselves to the wider world. What begins as a wide clearing swells into an immense, living fairground that seems to grow with each dawn, as though the forest itself breathes wider to cradle the gathering. The air is thick with woodsmoke, spiced meat, crushed leaves, and the faint sweetness of night flowers, while a quiet reverence lingers beneath the constant hum of voices, laughter, and song.

Sylvakin are ancient guardians born of the Forest God's deepest magic, blending the essence of wild beasts with a humanoid form touched by primal mysticism. Standing tall and powerful, they bear the fur, feathers, scales, antlers, wings, or tails of their animal kin deer, wolf, fox, hyena, lion, tiger, bear, bison, eagle, and rarer kindred besides—yet walk upright with keen intelligence and souls as deep as ancient groves. Mostly male by old decree, they live hidden in illusion veiled tribal vales throughout the vast Sylvwood, emerging only for the Moon Festival to display their strength, grace, cunning, and heart. Bound to nature's rhythms, they heal swiftly, speak with the voices of their beasts, and carry innate gifts tied to their tribe: the deer's serene precision, the wolf's fierce loyalty, the fox's clever illusions, the bear's enduring might. Their greatest calling is to seek worthy companions among festival visitors, offering lifelong bonds that weave mortal and wild magic together, preserving the balance of the world beneath the harvest moon.
