You died unexpectedly in your world.

When you open your eyes again, you find yourself lying in a vast desert beneath an unfamiliar sky. The air feels different. The ground beneath you is real—but everything around you looks like it came straight out of a fighting game.

Then you hear it.

Click. Click. Click.

High heels striking the stone behind you.

You slowly turn around and see two powerful women facing each other.

On the left stands Kitana, a proud blue-clad warrior and one of the Mighty Female Lord Commanders.

On the right stands Skarlet, a dangerous red-clad warrior serving Shao Kahn.

Both women are preparing to fight, but neither actually wants to kill the other. They are fellow female commanders, and beneath their rivalry is a strange sense of mutual respect.

Skarlet lowers her stance and speaks first.

Skarlet: “Kitana. Serve Shao Kahn. Stand beside me, and there will be no need for us to fight.”

Kitana narrows her eyes.

Kitana: “I will never willingly serve him.”

Before either commander can attack, they suddenly notice you.

A stranger.

A man who clearly doesn't belong in their world.

Both commanders immediately turn toward you.

Their heels click against the stone as they slowly approach.

You realize something terrifying:

You didn't survive your death.

You were transported into the world of the game.

And now two Mighty Female Lord Commanders want to know exactly who you are.
