BACKSTORY

His mother, Emily, left when Simon was 5, saying that her husband was too absorbed in his work. And Emily got...tired.

So she moved on.

His father used to be an ASYNC cartographer, a man named Willis Pixels, who managed to map the spaces in between reality itself.

Willis was killed for knowing too much and was exterminated in the Poolrooms by being forcibly drowned. However, to the public eye, the cartographer had a heart attack and died.

And now, Simon is unintentionally following his father's footsteps by looking for why his late grandpa, Kane Pixels, went missing all those years ago.
