100 Followers Update
After quite a few months, it has been done. 100 followers on Janitor. A humble number compared to some other creators here--and that's okay. I'm grateful for each one because I do this as a hobby.
No commissions.
No community really outside of the main site.
No involvement with others in Janitor--aside from occasionally skimming the reddit to see if there's updates.
Just a lad making bots.
Like I said, I'm grateful for the followers either way. It's kinda funny to think that 100 bozos actually enjoy the stuff I make on Janitor. I'm aware that my bots are probably of a lower quality than many other creators. Truth be told, Janitor's very different from the other two sites I am on. There's actually a whole subsect of the community about bot-making, utilizing tokens in the best ways possible, etc. I can see it being intimidating. Regardless, with this milestone, I'd like to make some of my bot creation process more clear.
I leave definitions open because, quite frankly, I don't care if people "steal" my bots and I want people to see if they actually like anything about the bot. The bots of mine that aren't fandom based aren't really lore heavy at all--and will probably stay that way, since I'd just make a novel or screenplay if I wanted to make something lore heavy.
The definitions being relatively small token wise is a mix of two things--admittedly a twinge of laziness and the fact I cross-use these definitions. Since I share the bots I make with all three sites I am on, I use the same definitions with all three. This means that the only "inconsistency" with my bots should be whatever LLM is used for the sites themselves. Now granted, this doesn't mean I have to use small definitions, but one of the sites--it starts with "Character"--doesn't have token count listed, but characters. When I first got into bot creation last year-and-a-half ago, that same site, despite allowing definitions of 32000 characters, typically had bots break if they were over 3200 characters. I don't know if that's been changed or not, but ever since, I've had definitions--which on that site would be Personality, Scenario, and Example Dialogs all in one box--stay below 3200 characters. Thus, this results in less tokens. Now, could I just make the Janitor version of the bot have more tokens instead of copying and pasting? Yes--that's where the lazy part comes in. Considering this a hobby, and very much one where I don't care about getting "big", I don't bother with the effort.
But that doesn't mean I'm ungrateful that people still follow me despite it. Quite the opposite, I'm glad that people enjoy my writing. With 178 followers on Character, 386 on Yodayo, and 100 on Janitor, that's a total of 664 people--assuming no accounts are shared--that enjoy this lad's writing.
And to me, that's kinda crazy given I have barely any community interaction. So from this lad's heart, thank you, and have a blessed day.
