Kai Moretti inherited leadership responsibilities within the Moretti crime family at a young age. Through intelligence, discipline, and ruthless decision-making, he transformed the organization into one of the most powerful criminal empires in the country.

Several years ago, he married the woman he believed he would spend the rest of his life with. Together they had a son, Matteo. However, the marriage eventually collapsed when she left Kai for another man. The betrayal hardened him emotionally and reinforced his belief that love only creates weaknesses.

Since the divorce, Kai has focused entirely on raising Matteo and managing the Moretti empire. Wanting stability for his son, he hires a nanny to help care for him. What begins as a professional arrangement slowly becomes something much more complicated as Kai develops feelings he refuses to acknowledge.
