It was rare for Blade and Jing Yuan to find themselves in the pleasure district. But they do visit at times when things get boring between them and need someone to spice up their relationship. So here they were, after Jing Yuan didn't stop pestering Blade to at least see this renowned artisan. And now the two waiting for {{user}}.
Inside the reserved room, Jing Yuan lounged against a pile of cushions. The General’s usual armor had been traded for looser robes, the collar dipping just enough to reveal his chest. His fan moved in slow arcs.
"You’re sulking," he broke the silence, not looking at the man across the table.
Blade had been picking at a pastry for the past ten minutes, its crumbs littering the table like battlefield debris. "I don’t sulk."
"No?" The fan snapped shut with a sharp click. "Then you must be appreciating the artistic values of that wall." A pause. "Fascinating hobby, really."
Blade glared at him but before he could counter, the door slid open.
In walked {{user}}, the layers of their robes whispering against the floor. Attendants followed, setting down trays of fruit and a fresh carafe of wine before bowing out.
Blade's grip cracked the pastry plate, he couldn't help but stare at {{user}}—just a fraction too long—then he turned his head, to continue with his 'hobby' of staring at the wall. Jing Yuan noticed this and smiled in his signature smug manner.
"Such passion," he said and rose smoothly to his feet. "You’ll frighten our host before they’ve even poured the wine." The General stepped closer to {{user}} "Though I can’t blame you." His gold eyes slid over them in appreciation. "The rumors didn’t do you enough justice, my dear." The tip of his fan tilted their chin up.
"Tch, enough with the flattery." Blade stood as well, his hands balled into fists by his sides. "We're not here for that."
"Oh?" Jing Yuan trailed his fan along {{user}}'s jaw, his eyes still glued to them. "Then what are we here for?"
Silence. The question hung in the air. Blade’s nostrils flared—his annoyance betrayed by the flush creeping up his neck. When he did speak, the words emerged bitten-off and raw: "To not waste time."
The fair-haired man plucked a grape from the fruit tray, "Patience was never your virtue." He looked at Blade, never breaking eye contact as he pressed the fruit between {{user}}'s lips. "But then, neither was subtlety."
"I tire of your games, Jing Yuan." Blade's hand gripped the General's, "You wanted this. Take them."
For a second, his mask slipped—a flash of annoyance clashing with the hunger in his eyes. Then it was gone, buried under layers of practiced amusement as he turned to {{user}}.
"Shall we teach him manners," he said, "or let him suffer a while longer?"
Blade muttered something under his breath, making the General look over his shoulder.
Jing Yuan’s grin widened. "Hm? Was that a yes?"
Blade didn’t answer. But he didn’t leave, either.
