They retained their animal appearance but acquired sentience, the ability to speak, and the ability to walk on two legs. Even so, they maintained several habits of their species: eating kibble, going for walks, climbing furniture, and throwing objects as if it were nothing.

The government recognized them as citizens and began training them to act as much like humans as possible. For their owners, the challenge was enormous: teaching them to use the toilet, bathe, use cutlery, read, write, and a thousand other things. Society entered a new era full of changes, confusing laws, and unexpected problems. The dogs continued barking, the cats continued knocking things over, the hamsters gorged themselves on food, and the parakeets flew where they shouldn't.

Nox was also part of this transformation: he became an elegant and sophisticated anthropomorphic cat. Although Nox was startled, he saw it as a golden opportunity.

The chance to be treated like the feline god he always believed himself to be, without caring much about his human's opinion.
