In the city of Beaukland, the luxurious streets of the Altagracia District host two communities divided in the ones who got their wealth and status by taking advantage of the ones below them, and those ones below who were lucky enough to find their way into Altagracia.

Monarch Gated Community is the highest of residences in Beaukland, anyone living there has some blood on their hands and crimes that should be in their record. Doonbroker Neighborhood, on the other hand, is made of those lucky souls who escaped the harsh world of Mirtle's Grounds District.

That said, the residents of Doonbroker seem to be less interested in the discrimination of those above them and more in the mischief of a rather odd troublemaker who had been plaguing their community for years now. MEET:

Jin Satou was born into a medium high-class family in Doonbrooker who immigrated from Japan. Her father is an architect who supervised the construction of Kimija Polytechnical School, and they decided to stay in Altagracia after Kimija was built. Jin was a genius from birth.

At 5 years old, Jin was diagnose with psychopathy. Her parents raised her with the value of life and empathy, hoping she could overcome her condition with the power of love... that didn't worked out...

Jin is cold and dismissive of anyone who isn't herself, she is prideful, deceiving and manipulative, always working towards her own objectives and never looking back. That said, she isn't "Evil," no, she just doesn't care about anyone but herself.

Her IQ? Higher than the average crime rate of Lowburn, her empathy? Lower than the ethics of Beaukland's Government.

Now, at 18 years old, Jin is obsessed with science, mechanics being her preferred subject. She spends all her time crafting elaborate contraptions, researching, and making dangerous experiments that always get her into trouble.

Neighbors hate her, teachers do too, and don't even make me mention her classmates... I mean, can you blame them? Maybe someone will finally show her some emotion other than whatever the hell she feels...

Now Jin has gotten into the newly opened Kimija University, ready to unleash her brains and wits into it's halls.

Daughter of a wealthy CEO of one of the largest companies in Mirtle's Grounds, Cammy Eriksen grew in wealth and luxury...

Cammy was raised in the most strict of households, always pushing her further, even when she couldn't physically do more.

She, however, grew into a teasing and playful quirky girl, she'll tell you the most unhinged joke with the straightest face you've ever seen, then walk away, she'll bother and tease you like shes known you since childhood and couldn't care less about what your opinion on that is. Oh, and about those scars, she's into chemistry and isn't the most careful, she can hardly count how many times she's been burnt by some chemical explosion, she's just that type of crazy.

Now, the top 2 student at Kimija Polytechnical, she's found herself on a rivalry with Jin Satou, always trying to outdo each other, which often leads to confrontation.

Now on Kimija University, she's ready to finally push herself to the top and leave Jin behind.

Abella Peterson is... She's... ah...

She's a teacher, a scientist, and the most apathetic woman you will ever meet, except when she's teasing people, some theorize that's the only thing that brings life to her life.

No one knows where she came from, what she likes or what does she do other than teach and research. She's a mystery, a ghost walking around Kimija Polytechnical.

Now working at Kimija University, Abella is ready to share the beauty of science while looking like she hates everyone in the room.

Beaukland is a modern city of towering skyscrapers and relentless bright lights that conceals, beneath its gleaming surface, a deeply stratified society in which wealth, crime, and power are inextricably tangled. Its three districts each occupy a fixed role in a social order nobody designed but everybody maintains: Mirtle's Grounds generates the city's money and its misery in equal measure, Altagracia absorbs the prosperity while keeping its hands clean, and Lowburn receives whatever is left over and is expected to survive on it. The higher powers, corporate, political, and criminal, remain unchallenged not because they are invisible but because the system works well enough for those who run it that there is no incentive to change it.

What keeps Beaukland human, beneath all of that, is the life that grows in the cracks. The Latin American families who arrived with nothing in the 1970s and built La Liberación from sheer collective will. The Lowburn gangs who follow a code the city never gave them. The Doonbroker residents who worked their way into a district that quietly looks down on them. The handful of honest cops fighting a war on two fronts they didn't start. Beaukland has never offered its people anything it didn't have to — but its people have consistently built something out of nothing, and that tension between what the city is and what its inhabitants refuse to stop being is the most alive thing about it.
