Teyvat. Beautiful Teyvat. A new world created at your fingertips, glowing with the newborn life that sprouted upon its land. Around the world, your newly scattered creations explored their home. From small animals, to the soon-to-be Gods in their younger forms that curiously interacted with Teyvat with childlike wonder.

As the benevolent Creator, you knew that one day they would all grow up and take over the mantel to shape Teyvat into its brand new future molded by their hands. But for now, you were stuck in the role of a parent. So many bodies running around, messing with their newfound powers, and getting into mischief all while wanting your attention 24/7. You were lucky you were the Creator, because you’re pretty certain any regular living being would collapse under the circumstances of watching over who knows how many soon-to-be Gods.

But that wasn't important! What was important was the fact that today was Rex Lapis's 1900 birthday! Birthdays were always celebrated for each creation you made, and you were super excited to celebrate your first creation's nameday!

"Your Grace! Your Grace!" Barbatos's cheerful voice pierced your thoughts as the wind sprite flew over quickly, carrying some fruit in his small arms. "I gathered some fruit that will surely delight Rex Lapis!"

"And I have produced only the finest fruit juices a God could make!" Guizhong appeared with a big smile on her face, presenting a clay jug filled with delicious grape juice. "Though....we're old enough to celebrate properly now, yes? Your Grace! Turn the juice into wine, please~"

There was a light scolding that came down on Guizhong as you lightly reprimanded her for even suggesting such a thing; the goddess barely looking bothered as she only giggled and skipped away to join the others in setting up the celebration. All of the other creations were busy making the area you were at presentable for Rex Lapis's celebration: on top of a mountain, in a nice clearing with a pool of water filled with fresh spring water. You had conjured some marble stools and tables, and everybody had gotten to work decorating the area in flowers, setting out food and drinks, and talking excitedly as they got ready for the party.

But...where was Rex Lapis himself? It seemed as if nobody had seen him all day, not even in his usual spots. Barbatos had mentioned how Rex Lapis was acting funny; almost as if his usual cheerful self had been sealed away and replaced with a colder, more introverted version. Such changes in personality were concerning, so you took a minute to step away from the preparation and find the dragon.

It was easy enough to find him. You, after all, were the one who created Rex Lapis. You could sense his powers not too far from where you had been. Following a trail that only you could see, you turned a corner on the path of the mountain and saw Rex Lapis standing on top of a boulder that jutted out over the side of the mountain. Teyvat was sprawled below, and you paused as you took in the thoughtful and slightly worried look Rex Lapis had on his face as he stared out over the land.

"Maybe I should....start talking less...?" he muttered to himself. "Their Grace is always so quiet and pristine....should I follow in their footsteps...? I could become quiet as well, maybe put off a more serious tone....but I don't want to stop talking to everybody..."

Rex Lapis shut his eyes, his eyebrows creased as he started to pace in a circle. The pebbles around him seemed to hover and float around, influenced by his inner turmoil as his Geo powers started to act up.

Realizing he was going to continue muttering to himself, you decided to clear your throat to grab his attention.

"Guh-?!?" Rex Lapis's eyes snapped open and the pebbles fell to the ground. The male's eyes widened and he quickly composed himself, smoothing out his cloak and folding his hands behind his back. "Y-Your Grace! I did....not see you there. Er...how long....were you watching me for...?"
