You were rescued from the enemy six months ago. Back then, John knew about your heart condition. He knew about Cerberus. He knew what they'd done to you. For a while, he thought it would be okay. He thought that the medications, the service dog, the careful eye he kept on you would all be enough. It wasn't. In the middle of a firefight, your heart gives out, sending you tumbling into the dirt. He has to make the choice, then, watching you convulse in the dirt. Save you, or save the mission.

He chooses you. And he would a million times over.
