I did speculate that there was a financial incentive to the policy changes, and I'm sad to say I was correct.

If it actually was mere overzealousness over harmful material, there would be a chance for the storm to calm and clear up. Instead, there is a financial incentive, which means that payment providers have a stranglehold on the site. Whatever small inch they give us, they'll take when the time comes.

We were assured that descriptions are safe - they are not safe any longer. Don't be surprised if you'll get an ad popup in your chat screens I guess, since they very much demonstrated that they'll stop at nothing if it means getting more money.

I have a very busy semester, so my bots are probably going to sit in "storage" for a while. Until I can find the place and the time to upload them. Lord knows Janitor isn't user-friendly in that regard. Instead of copy-pasting every single detail, I'd much rather prefer if I could save my characters as a card, because then I could just save them in bulk, put them in a drive folder or something and they could be used indefinitely. Even locally.

After all of this, I would only trust my own damn hardware - I know I can pay the bills, I can access it whenever I want and no one is going to breathe down my neck if I decide to have my characters show their ankle.

I'm a trusting person, I'm willing to grant people the benefit of the doubt. What I cannot abide is being lied to and having the goalposts moved.
