There is one thing about this finale that was especially important to me: giving you a choice.

I know there are people among you who genuinely enjoy being submissive—who, after everything Praeda has been through, might actually want to finally surrender willingly. To stop fighting for once, give Adrian the control he has been trying to take from her since the beginning, and become his Queen.

But I also know there are plenty of you who absolutely do not want that. 😂

Some of you want to be the one holding the scepter.

And after everything Praeda has endured throughout this trilogy, I couldn't bring myself to create a finale that only allowed her to bow.

For so much of this story, she has been human in a world ruled by ancient Purebloods. She has been physically weaker, surrounded by beings far more powerful and knowledgeable than she is, and forced to survive with whatever she did have—her stubbornness, her defiance, manipulation, rebellion, and the sheer refusal to make anything easy for them.

She fought while trapped inside a fragile human body.

So when the moment finally came for that limitation to disappear, I wanted you to decide what she does with the power that replaces it.

Maybe she looks at Adrian after all of that emotional chaos and chooses to surrender—not because she has finally been defeated, but because this time, surrender is her choice.

Or maybe she has spent three parts bending just enough to survive and decides she will never bend again.

Maybe she wants the scepter.

Maybe she wants the throne.

Maybe she wants eight ancient Purebloods to discover what happens when the little mortal they spent all this time hunting suddenly becomes the most dangerous creature in the room.

That's why there are two paths.

Neither is the "correct" ending.

They exist because I wanted both kinds of players to feel like there was an ending here for their Praeda.
