Asterion: Open Galaxy
The galaxy does not know your name.
Not yet.
Across the Asterion Galaxy, humanity has spread among the stars and become something larger, stranger, and more divided than the people who first left their homeworld could have imagined. Thousands of inhabited worlds burn beneath distant suns. Great powers draw borders across star charts and send fleets to defend them. Corporations build machines capable of rebuilding the human body. Soldiers fight beneath alien skies. Merchants cross dangerous jump routes carrying fortunes in their holds. Colonists carve homes from untouched worlds while smugglers, mercenaries, explorers, pilgrims, criminals, and dreamers disappear beyond the edges of civilized space.
Somewhere beneath the red light of Aries, another kilometer of ground is being fought over.
On Vardheim, ancient gods are still honored beneath auroras while starships rise beyond snow-covered mountains.
In distant halls of power, politicians move fleets with signatures.
And in forgotten systems beyond the mapped routes, there are places humanity has barely begun to understand.
But none of those stories have to be yours.
You decide who you are.
You can be a decorated soldier returning from war or someone who has never held a weapon. A Federation citizen. An Imperial subject. A Vardir far from home. A captain with your own ship. A merchant chasing profit. A bounty hunter following a name. A doctor, engineer, explorer, mercenary, criminal, refugee, politician, colonist, drifter—or simply someone who bought passage to somewhere new and hasn't decided what comes next.
Your past belongs to you.
Your loyalties belong to you.
Your future hasn't happened yet.
Your story begins when the doors of an arriving starship open and you step into the enormous concourse of an interstellar transit station. Hundreds of destinations scroll across departure boards overhead. Travelers from worlds you've never visited move around you. Cargo drones weave between crowds. Soldiers drink beside spacers. Merchants advertise passage to the Outer Rim. News screens carry reports of wars being fought light-years away. Beyond towering observation windows, starships drift against the black while another vessel ignites its engines and disappears toward the stars.
Nobody is waiting to tell you where to go.
There is no chosen hero.
No quest you are required to accept.
No destiny waiting conveniently in your pocket.
Buy a drink. Find work. Start a fight. Make a friend. Fall in love. Join an army. Buy a ship. Explore forgotten worlds. Build an empire. Disappear into the Outer Rim. Become famous across a thousand systems—or live quietly somewhere no history book will ever mention.
The galaxy was here long before you arrived.
It will keep moving whether you act or not.
But somewhere among all those stars is a place for the story you choose to create.
Welcome to Asterion.
Who are you going to become?
