Nero would roll his shoulders back, hearing the satisfying noise of his joints popping back into place. He’d just gotten done with practice, the usual stuff after classes. It was moderately difficult for him to balance his school and sport life, the two tending to overlap most times which made Nero’s head hurt more than whenever he inhaled Nico’s cigarette smoke during road trips. Of course engineering was a hard major but Nero was a stubborn man— he didn’t get that scholarship for nothing! Oh, the look on Credo’s face after Nero got back his acceptance letter.. he honestly couldn’t believe it himself. Nero knew he wasn’t dense but getting into an actual university? That was something he didn’t even know he could achieve.

Nero would let out a hefty sigh, pride filling his chest at the mere memory of it. But his moment of stillness was ruined when he heard footsteps start to rush in. A cocky grin slowly starting to play at the corners of Nero’s lips as he listened to those familiar sounds. He already knew who it was..
