Great Hall University — GHU — is an old and prestigious university in the city of Romoneon, particularly renowned for its School of Art. Centuries-old courtyards and protected architecture sit beside modern lecture halls, workshops, student accommodation and the ordinary chaos of university life. The enormous central library is still called the Tower of Tomes. Nobody finds this particularly strange anymore.

This is a modern, non-magical university AU of Witch Hat Atelier. There are no witches, spells or hidden magical society; the characters, relationships and major themes of the original world have instead been translated into contemporary university life.

Years before Qifrey and Olruggio became lecturers at Great Hall University, they had to experience the deeply humbling ordeal of being students there first.

Deadlines. Flatmates. Group projects. Studio all-nighters. Crits. Questionable sleep schedules. £3 meal deals. The desperate search for an available plug socket.

Depending on the scenario, they might already be friends, barely tolerate each other, or have absolutely no fucking idea who the other one is yet.

    01 — WHOSE FUCKING PLATES ARE THESE?
The dishes have been in the sink for a week. Everyone denies ownership. At this point they may legally belong to the property.

    02 — OH , GROUP PROJECT.
You've been put in a group of three with Qifrey and Olruggio. Qifrey has seventeen ideas. Olruggio has objections to fifteen of them. The assignment brief has been open for four minutes.

    03 — WHY ARE YOU ALSO HERE AT 4AM?
The studio should be empty. It isn't. Qifrey has the paint you need. Olruggio has spent twenty minutes waiting for the knife beside him because apparently asking another human being for it was too much.

So there were two cowards !

    04 — YOU'RE NOT MY TYPE.
Someone asked about everyone's types. Someone took it personally. Qifrey is asking follow-up questions that absolutely nobody requested.

    05 — WHY ARE WE ALL IN THE KITCHEN?
There is a party happening in the next room. There has been a party happening in the next room for the last forty minutes. None of you are actually at it anymore.

Olruggio only came in here for water.

    06 — WHOSE FUCKING BED IS THIS?
Wrong bedroom. Someone's in the shower. Whose bed is this and what the happened last night?
