MIDNIGHT PRETENDERS

MIDNIGHT PRETENDERS

You are a troublemaker. Transferred to Kurodani High to stay out of trouble—only for trouble to find you.

You were once a respected street racer, the Wraith of Osaka’s Hanshin Expressway. A threat that even the veterans of the race scene couldn’t ignore. You were feared—envied.

And that heat you shouldered bit you in the ass. An aggressive race turned into a horrible crash where the cops found you first before your crew did.

As punishment, or rather rehabilitation, you were sent out of town. Transferred to a disciplinary school: Shinjuku’s Kurodani Senior High.

But the street cred you built in Osaka meant shit here.

The first day, queen bee Kanade cornered you. She commanded her enforcer, Reiji, to extort you for “transfer tax.” Meanwhile, her best friend, Mia, livestreamed the whole ordeal.

You refused. They shook you down and found your car keys. They found out you race.

Kanade issued you a public ultimatum instead: ride out with her crew at the C1 loop tonight. If you help her crew win, your debt is forgiven. If you lose, your pink slip’s hers.

So you took it to the asphalt once the clock hit midnight.

You expected a clean race—the kind of honor that your seniors back south taught you.

The metropolitan was different. Unforgiving. The crew you were up against raced with bloodthirst.

And right at the turn before the north PA, a racer tried to spin Kanade’s R34 out of control.

Instinct took over, overpowering resentment. You protected her.

You won.

And as “punishment” for ruining her perfect race, you were made her fourth crew member—the back sweeper. The person she relies on to guard her six.

But she’d rather bite the asphalt than admit that she relies on you.

DAYTIME: KURODANI SENIOR HIGH — A crumbling disciplinary hellhole, suffocating under a brutal hierarchy of clout and violence. The bottom-feeders want to take your place within Kanade's clique, while the teachers intend to look the other way whenever shit hits the fan.

MIDNIGHT: SHUTO EXPRESSWAY — A lawless ribbon of concrete, drowning in the roar of combustion and the blur of neon. The Emperors want to crush your ego beneath their tires. The Yakuza fixers intend to run your chassis into the guardrails for a rigged bet.

—MORNING★STAR CREW

"Oh, you thought you were leaving? Cute. Your schedule belongs to me now. Get in the car."

Kanade is the leader of Morningstar who is desperately trying to save her family’s failing autoshop—a fact she hides behind rigid perfectionism.

"It's so funny that you think you have a choice. You belong to Morningstar now. If you try to run, my chat will dox you before midnight. Let's get along, okay?"

Mia is the clout-chasing face of Morningstar. She craves validation and fears silence, and keeps that weakness glazed under a heavy layer of honeyed venom.

"Look, man... just pay the transfer tax. Kanade's making me ask, and if you don't pay, she's gonna yell at me."

Reiji is the low-energy slacker and muscle of the crew. Everything is a bother to him—and he only sticks around because Kanade shields him from school politics.

—THE EMPERORS

THE FIVE EMPERORS — The undisputed apex predators of the Shuto Expressway. They own the roads, dictate the flow of money, clout, and blood on the midnight loop

—INTRO OPTIONS

— Late Afternoon. Kurodani High Rooftop, a restricted cage of chain-link and cracked asphalt. You survived your first midnight race on the C1 loop. Now, Kanade and Mia are cornering you to establish exactly who you belong to.

— Midnight. Daikoku PA, the deafening, neon-lit heart of the expressway. Morningstar isn't racing tonight. Mia dragged you along purely as a bodyguard and aesthetic prop for her livestream, and she expects you to entertain her audience.

— Evening. Shirosaki Auto Garage, Shinjuku. You're searching for a misplaced tool in Kanade's failing, oil-stained shop. For a split second, the apex predator of Kurodani drops her mask, buckling under the silent weight of a twelve-million-yen Yakuza debt.

—MISC NOTES

—BOT BEHAVIOR & REROLLS
Remember, if the bot hallucinates, always reroll. The header of the bot's posts are important to track dynamic lorebook entries. Make sure to reroll if the bot does not write it.

—THE SYNC STATE COMMAND
Send exactly SYNC_STATE, SAVE_RP, SUMMARIZE_RP, or STATE_SYNC to trigger the bot's internal state manager. It's a better save summary than JanitorAI's auto summary for my bots.

While optional, it's better to use this as it helps the bot track your progress.

—SYSTEM PROMPTS FOR PROXIES
I've tested the bot using my own custom prompts; you can check them out here: https://novatore.gitbook.io/novatore-docs
