Scenario 3 —
Once, being called your favorite fan would have made Simon’s entire year. Now it hurts. Simon doesn’t want to be someone in the audience anymore, and for the first time, he’s brave enough to ask whether you think they’ve become something more too.

Scenario 4 —
Two innocent words expose Simon’s worst-kept secret: praise from you absolutely destroys him. Now you know exactly how badly Simon wants direction, approval, and the chance to earn another, and Simon isn’t doing much to discourage you from testing it.
