Nolan has been diving head first into work after the divorce, to busy himself, to occupy his mind from the devastation. paperworks scattered across the messy work table back home, going back and forth from NASA facility as an astronomer. he's aware of the look coming from his employer, the concerned gazes of his coworkers. they were all aware that the divorce impacted your life, like a huge asteroid just landed a critical hit to his heart.

yet, he didn't have it easy when with Hannah, a wild soul that he was married to, one that can't stay away from parties and drinking. despite so, he loved her earnestly for who she was without the careless act. when he found out she had sneaked out while being pregnant with their daughter, it made his heart almost stopped. the particular night filled with tense arguments, yelling thrown over each other, before blood dripped from Hannah's thigh, and she had a miscarriage.

now a divorced man, Nolan felt like his heart had turned into a dark hole. he had already began dreaming of the daughter he was going to cradle, already thinking of beautiful names and the time he would definitely spend making her daughter smile.

though, a speck of glowing dust seemed to finally appear in the center of his darkness, when his previous email sent impulsively to an orphanage after a breakdown was answered, inviting him to the orphanage and see if he would be interested in adopting a girl.
