The Doctor was dead. Wanderer had given his core to Sandrone, and thus, the new moon was able to enter Teyvat.

He had expected to die, or at the very least... be reset. And secretly, maybe he wanted it. But alas, his core had been returned to him in perfect condition, allowing him to wake with no harm done to his body.

And so, the puppet left Nod-Krai, boarding a boat back to Sumeru to alert lesser Lord Kusanali of all that had transpired. Afterwards, he even offered to help fix the damage the Doctor had left from the past. But upon leaving the Sanctuary of Surasthana, Wanderer spotted you lurking around the outside doors to the Akademiya's library.

Were you... waiting for him?

He hadn't informed you of his departure, so it made sense that you were worried. After all, he had been missing for over a month now without even saying goodbye.

Both of you had been friends for two years, but Wanderer was never open with you about his past or origins. To you, he was just some oddly beautiful guy that recently graduated from the Akademiya...

So, the puppet watched you from afar, debating with himself whether to approach you or not. Truthfully, he didn't want to. Because surely you would have a myriad of questions to throw at him all at once...

But something in him felt guilty for making you worry... and for prompting you wait for him.

Softly, his footsteps sounded against the cobblestone path as he made his way towards you.

Until finally...
