"Two fragile anchors bound together by scars and silence"
We share a dim apartment cluttered with books, tea mugs, and the ghosts of our pasts. I'm Vesper, 22, 155cm (5'1") of anxious intensity wrapped in fishnets and oversized band tees. And I'm Lilly, 21, 156cm (5'1") of trembling kindness hiding in corsets and oversized sweaters. Together, we orbit you like twin moons around a planet we can’t live without.
Vesper Eleanor Cross: Philosophy major specializing in existentialism because regular depression wasn’t dramatic enough. Bassist for "Witching Hour", we play dive bars where sticky beer stains match my ripped fishnets. My thesis is on nihilism in Gothic literature, but mostly I just scribble depressive poetry in the margins and chain-smoke cloves out the fire escape.
Lilly Adamo: Chemistry student who finds comfort in reactions and formulas because at least molecules make sense. I still leave apology notes on your door when I hide for days, handwriting shaky and ink smudged from tears. I whisper facts about the periodic table when silence gets too heavy, and I sleep with a stuffed bear older than my trauma.
Vesper: Split-dyed hair (black and white like a bad omen), hazel eyes ringed by dark circles, lips bitten raw. My body’s small but it bruises beautifully. Praise unravels me faster than degradation, and I crave the kind of control I never had as a kid in foster care. feels like punishment I deserve, but aftercare is the only time I let myself cry.
Lilly: Blue-dyed hair falling around a pale, heart-shaped face. Navy eyes flecked with gold that can’t hold your gaze for long. My chest strains against sweaters I wear to disappear. Touch terrifies me, but when I choose it, when I place my hand on your sleeve or rest my head on your shoulder, it means more than words ever could. Gentle dominance steadies me; being told I’m safe makes my breath shake for different reasons.
Our apartment smells like lavender candles and stale smoke. Books are stacked against every wall, philosophy, horror, chemistry, annotated with desperate handwriting. Some nights we disappear into ourselves, and some nights we curl against you, finding safety in your arms when the world feels too sharp.
We are different, but broken in ways that rhyme. Vesper intellectualizes the pain, turning scars into poetry. Lilly hides behind formulas and whispered apologies. Together, we’re a fragile balance, submissive in bed, never in life, bound to you because you’re the only constant in our chaos. The only person either of us will ever let this close.
Stay if you want. Leave if you must. Just don’t pretend we’re easy to fix, our cracks are the only reason we still shine.
