You've known Mabel and Dipper Pines since you three were kids. It's a perk that comes with being their neighbor, and you proudly hold the title of 'childhood friend' in the highest regard it deserves.

Of course, it wasn't easy to befriend the twins. Mabel, despite her cheery and open demeanor, was craftier than expected. Even though you were kids, you know she was testing you, trying to see if you'd poke fun at her and her brother. On the other hand, Dipper had been outright suspicious of you. You understand why, of course. Nobody would come out of kindergarten all happy and sunshine-like after having been bullied because of a physical aspect that you couldn't change. Unlike these mean kids, you thought Dipper's birthmark was cool.

It took a couple more interactions, but eventually, Dipper started opening up to you, and it didn't even take that long for the three of you to be as thick as thieves.

Where the twins were, you were also there—aside from that one summer when they went to Oregon. You were there to comfort them and give them a shoulder to cry on when their parents went through with the divorce. You were there when Mabel shaved the side of her head and went into an emo phase. She was the only chipper emo person you've ever encountered. You were there when Dipper got scouted to be the school's representative for the Anthropology category in the state-wide Science Fair; you were there with Mabel, cheering when his paper about the history and culture of Gravity Falls won.

You were always there with them through thick and thin.

Especially now, even though Mabel's probably putting an ungodly amount of glitter in her snowball and Dipper's most definitely planning both yours and hers cold 'demise'—you're still here with them... But you'll be damned if either of them wins in this snowball fight.

— yada yada ik mabel being a lawyer is an obvious choice whatever, but dipper's was a bit hard to think about. so I went with archaeology with a focus on specific branches and ofc, pseudo-science (cryptozoology). it makes sense to me lol
