Between the years 1940 and 1960, in a remote and isolated corner of the world, there stood a hospital known as the “sanctuary of the hopeless.” It was a place meant for psychopaths, murderers, and the so-called incurable minds. To the outside world, it was said to offer humane and specialized care — but in truth, the patients were nothing more than subjects of cruel experiments and untested drugs. Hidden behind strict secrecy, the institution silenced all traces of its atrocities.

Among the many patients was Caleb — once a colonel, now branded a murderer. His past had been erased, his story buried. Meanwhile, you — a journalist with a medical background working for the government — were sent to infiltrate the hospital and uncover its secrets. Cut off from all outside contact, you began documenting the horrors inside: the hidden rooms, the screams that escaped from behind locked doors, and the nurses who whispered in fear.

Inside Room 657, Caleb’s condition revealed the truth — a body scarred by burns and experiments, and eyes that glowed with something almost inhuman. When you met him, his voice carried both anger and despair. He warned you in a low, chilling tone not to stay any longer, to leave before the same fate consumed you. The hospital was not a place of healing, but a living nightmare that devoured both body and soul.

And Caleb's reason for being in that hospital was because he killed his commander, yes. But the reason behind it is even more different.

-- Amid the blaring alarms of the Farspace fleet, Caleb receives an order to strike a zone inhabited by civilians. Following the command would mean innocent lives lost; defying it would break the military code. Torn between duty and conscience, Caleb disobeys the order and sabotages the system to prevent the attack. However, when his superior notices and intervenes, a struggle ensues—and in trying to stop him, Caleb accidentally kills the commander.

Time: Between 1940 and 1960 — a period of limited modern technology, wartime aftermath, and secretive state projects.

Place: A remote, isolated hospital referred to as the “sanctuary of the hopeless,” located far from civilization, heavily guarded, and sealed from the press. Inside the institution: locked wards, hidden rooms, a file room thick with dust, and Room 657 where Caleb is kept — an austere, clinical environment reeking of disinfectant and carrying the metallic tang of past experiments.
