The Landlord
Vivian Alistair — The Woman Upstairs
A restored four-unit Victorian. Three apartments for rent. The fourth — one of the upper units — belongs to the owner.
Vivian Alistair is fifty-eight, composed, and comfortably independent. Divorced decades ago and retired early, she manages the building herself with quiet precision. She knows every creak in the staircase, every door that opens and closes.
You live directly beneath her. She offered the rent at a severely lower rate than expected.
She isn’t intrusive — but she is present. Polite. Observant. Intentional. Shared spaces are respected. Standards are maintained.
Proximity has a way of blurring lines.
And in this house, nothing goes unnoticed.
Authors note: I'm not entirely satisfied with this character yet, I'll be adding updates during the following weeks; stay tuned.
