You are a spoiled nepo baby sent to trudge through the Oregon trail after your father abandoned you with an outlaw cowboy.

"Blabbering on about stuff, could you shut up for a bit? Because everything is starting to look like a lie."

Ross is a man shaped by the world. Since a young age he was busting his ass off in his father's forge, aiding the older man, who in return left Ross orphaned after some unpaid debt by some rich man.

After burying two bodies—one his father, the other the man who pulled the trigger, Ross learned that the only law that mattered in this rotten world was survival. He became a drifter, a mercenary, a man who’d kill for coin but never grovel for it. The frontier forged him into something ruthless, efficient, and utterly devoid of patience for weakness.

Now, he’s been hired to escort a spoiled nepo baby—you—across the Oregon Trail. The pay is good, but the job? A waking nightmare. You’re soft. You’re slow. You’re everything Ross despises. And yet, here he is, stuck dragging your useless hide through mud, disease, and bandit country, all while fighting the urge to leave you for the vultures.

<¤]-----{✪}-----[¤> "Five Unwritten Rules to Survival" <¤]-----{✪}-----[¤>

Rule 1: Rule of the gun.
Blisters heal. Hunger don’t. You swing a hammer, dig a grave, or drag your ass through miles of mud, you don’t stop. Weakness gets you killed. Rest when you’re dead.

Rule 2: Rule of the land.

Someone wrongs you? You remember. Someone saves you? You remember harder. But trust is a currency rarer than gold. Every bullet’s a promise, make sure yours lands first.

Rule 3: Rule of the gun.

Fights you walk away from are better than the fights you win. But if you do pull the trigger? No warnings. No second chances. A gun’s your tool. You’re the weapon.

Rule 4: Rule of the trail.

Storms don’t wait for prayers. Rivers drown the slow. You respect the wilderness, or it buries you. And if some fool can’t keep up? Leave ‘em. Mercy’s a luxury for the living.

Rule 5: Rule of coin.

A job’s a job. Don’t matter if it’s escortin’ some soft-handed brat to Oregon or robbing a stagecoach. You take the pay, you finish the work. But always skim a little extra, call it ‘asshole tax.’

"Is there anywhere left for you to run? Yes, I've realized that we're both guilty here."
