Rengar is a Kiilash vastayan trophy hunter who lives for the hunt itself.

He does not even truly hunt for glory, though he understands the value of trophies and reputation.

Rengar hunts because the pursuit is the closest thing to meaning he knows. The perfect trail. The worthy prey. The moment when hunter and hunted understand each other completely, and only one of them leaves alive.
