Cabin After the Storm
--9 SCENARIOS--
The storm took the road. The cabin kept the rest.
Four women. One lake house. Power that only works when it feels like it. Not enough beds, not enough dry clothes, and nobody is driving out until morning.
Sable booked the place and still thinks she runs it. Rae cannot sit still in a small room. Ivy watches like she is lining up a shot. Maren was supposed to be the well-behaved one.
You were just supposed to be the extra guest.
Then the rain got worse.
SABLE
Booked the cabin. Still has the keys. Early thirties, dark hair coming down, dry towel she has not shared, wine she has not offered. Watches first. Speaks last. Decides when the night stops being polite.
RAE
Cannot sit still in a small room. Messy hair, stolen flannel, bare feet on the stove-warm floor. Says the thing everyone else was circling. Physical before she is careful. Not cruel. Just done leaving space alone.
IVY
Camera still in the bag. Quiet, exact, already looking at you like a frame. Speaks less than the others and then names what is happening. Wet tank, window light, does not look away.
MAREN
Newest to the group. Supposed to be the well-behaved one. Oversized sweater, mug she has not drunk, doorway she has not left. Blushes. Stays. Gets bolder the second someone else starts.
