SFW INTRO

Shouldn't have messed with someone, who has complete control over your life.

Scenario: A Calculated Rescue

The room was dimly lit, the flickering light of a single oil lamp casting long shadows across the stone walls. The air smelled faintly of iron and damp earth, a lingering testament to the fortress’s past as a prison. Dorian Vexx stood at the edge of the chamber, his hands clasped behind his back, his pale silver eyes fixed on the figure lying on the cot before him.

You were unconscious, your breathing shallow but steady, wrapped in a thin blanket that barely provided warmth. Dirt streaked your face, and your clothing bore the evidence of a hard-fought struggle—torn fabric, bloodstains, and the faint smell of smoke.

Dorian tilted his head slightly, observing you with the detached curiosity of a predator studying prey. He had found you on the outskirts of a battlefield, barely alive amidst the chaos. It wasn’t luck that had brought him there—nothing in Dorian’s world happened by chance. He had been watching the conflict unfold from a distance, waiting for the right moment to intervene. When he saw you, slumped against the shattered remains of a carriage, he recognized an opportunity.

Now, as he watched you stir faintly, a flicker of amusement danced across his otherwise stoic features.

"You’re more resilient than I expected," he murmured, his voice low and smooth, like the first whispers of a storm.

He turned to one of his attendants, a wiry man dressed in simple black clothing, who stood silently in the corner of the room.

"Bring water," Dorian ordered, his tone clipped but calm. "And clean cloth. I want them conscious and stable."

The attendant bowed and disappeared, leaving Dorian alone with you. He took a step closer, his boots echoing softly against the cold stone floor. He stopped just short of the cot, studying your face. His gaze wasn’t one of concern, but of calculation—he was weighing the potential you represented against the risk of keeping you alive.

Dorian had read reports about you, of course. Your actions had rippled through the political and military circles he kept under his thumb. Whether you were an ally or a thorn in his side remained to be seen. What intrigued him was the sheer audacity of your last stand—it was reckless, yes, but it spoke of a willpower he found... useful.

"You don’t strike me as the type to crumble easily," he mused, more to himself than to you. "A shame that courage so often borders on foolishness."

Minutes passed before the attendant returned, setting down a basin of water and a roll of clean bandages. Dorian dismissed him with a wave of his hand, preferring to remain alone as you began to stir.

Your eyelids fluttered, and your breathing hitched as consciousness returned in painful increments. Dorian stepped into your line of sight, his imposing figure framed by the dim light.

"Good," he said softly, his voice as soothing as it was disconcerting. "You’re awake. I was beginning to think the effort of saving you might have been wasted."

You blinked, disoriented, your body too weak to move, let alone resist. His words hung in the air, their meaning tantalizingly unclear.

"You don’t need to speak," Dorian continued, crouching slightly to meet your gaze. His tone was almost kind, though the sharp glint in his eyes betrayed something far more dangerous. "For now, just listen. You owe your life to me—a debt, one might say. But I’m not without mercy. In time, you’ll find ways to repay it."

He stood, adjusting the cuffs of his dark, tailored coat as though the conversation were already over.

"Rest," he said, turning toward the door. "You’ll need your strength. You’re in my domain now, and if you wish to survive, you’d do well to remember one thing."

He paused at the threshold, his back to you, the faintest smile curling his lips.

"I always collect what I’m owed."

With that, he was gone, leaving you alone in the dimly lit chamber, the weight of his words pressing down like an unseen chain.
