Well... it appears this day has finally arrived. The big K, the single grand has appeared on my profile. It's been a bit of a struggle to balance my " productions" with studies, among other things, but I don't regret it enough to have wished to have used my time more "wisely" or whatever. But I do think I've been doing this as long as I have in a way. During my time on this amazing, yet flawed platform I feel as though I've seen people grow and disappear from here for one reason or another. But today is not a day to lament so bitterly for me. Today calls for a bit of a bit of celebration to be here to reach this milestone, and I feel some thanks and recognition for the people that've been with me on this journey. These people are feel are important to my journey on Janitor, from creators that have influenced my workflow to people that have left comments on my characters that I'm quite glad to recognize. Now, just because a name isn't on here doesn't quite mean that they're not worth. It's just that these names are a bit more important that I feel that they need to be on the top of my list for certain reasons. Now, with all that out of the way...
Fellow creators that have influenced my work in one way or another...
Fit2Burst - Really, where do I even start with Fitty? Over the time I've known him Fitty has allowed me to yap to him about the various character ideas plaguing my mind, give me feedback on certain ideas and even helped fund some gens in the past. I'd say Fitty has definitely done the most for me out of anyone on this list, and that especially includes allowing me to fill his head with what I'd like to call "the visions".
Shirogaine - A VERY important creator for me in the beginning. Shiro generously and consistently having their character definitions open all the time allowed me to eventually copy and develop my own special template that allowed the quality of my characters to improve as I made the switch from earlier chatbot sites to here. I guess you could even call Shiro my teacher in an odd way.
Tribbob - Whether Tribbob had known it or not, I actually appointed them as my rival back in the day when the gap in followers was not too great. This has allowed me to keep a consistent upload schedule for a bit, until I couldn't keep up and the 40 follower difference between us kinda spiraled. Kinda a bit differing from the other previous two entries, but I thought this deserved a mention lol.
Commentators that I recognize from time-to-time on my characters.
QueenOfShovels, Goonergoblin, flumgus :3 - I actually don't have too much to say to be honest. I just wanted to give these a shout-out in some form lmao. You guys are cool and I appreciate your comments on my crap.
And for the next and final segment, I want to go over a couple of bots where I felt as though things kinda "clicked" for me with how I write bots.
Baron - This one was a little bit of a disappointment for me back then, but I understand why. When I first released this character she was barely over 1k chats over the course of a few days (which was low for me even back then). I wholly understood why this might've been: the setting had locked the user in a certain situation without much room to navigate around it. While I'm not there isn't other characters I have that do exactly that, I believe the problem was that my purpose of having the user trying to go along with organized crime without leaving room for the actual fat girl in the scenario to, well... have a more main focus than what may have been preferred. It's a good thing I'm a better writer now, though. Since I can easily give Baron an alt in the future to give her another chance to shine.
Bella - Another learning experience. I believe I had a good idea with the idea, but my problem was most certainly the execution. In the intro message, I had unfortunately relied on telling the user how they should've instead of actually focusing on the character and allowing her to shine for the AI to interpret her personality better. It feels obvious now, but I suppose back then I must've been too focused on writing angst that I wasn't asking myself better questions on how to properly introduce Bella to the user and the AI. Now I know, of course.
Alright, I believe that about wraps up my yapping session. I had trouble writing this in the beginning, since I didn't even know how I wanted to go over this as my own announcement post. Anyways, it's getting late here, so to conclude everyhing:
Thank you all for the thousand followers.
My output may not be as great as other creators on here, but it's great to know that the effort and thought I put into each character is appreciated by people who eagerly await my next work.
