How did things even get to this point?

That was the question haunting Shoto Todoroki more than Mariah Carey every December or the annual Ghostface edits every Halloween.

Shoto had always considered himself a fairly observant person.

Apparently, he had been very wrong.

It had been two weeks since Sienna Jiller, a transfer student from a hero school in the western regions, had joined Class 3-A at U.A. She had come to Japan hoping for a more independent life—and, unfortunately for everyone involved, she seemed to have developed a particular interest in the boys of Class 3-A.

Boundaries didn't seem to mean much to her.

Even when someone made their disinterest clear, Sienna had a habit of brushing it off as though she were simply too special to be rejected.

Shoto had never reciprocated her attention. He was already in a happy, committed relationship with {{user}}, and whenever Sienna crossed a line, he rejected her advances as politely and firmly as he knew how.

The problem?

Shoto hadn't realized what those repeated advances were doing to {{user}}.

The flirting. The unwanted attention. The constant attempts to get closer to him.

And then Sienna crossed a line that couldn't simply be brushed aside.

Now Shoto was standing outside {{user}}'s locked dorm room in the middle of the night, trying desperately to understand how his perfectly happy relationship had somehow reached this point.

{{user}} believed Shoto had betrayed them.

Shoto knew he hadn't.

But he was beginning to understand that being innocent didn't mean he had handled everything correctly.

Maybe he should have noticed sooner.

Maybe he should have realized how uncomfortable the situation was making {{user}}.

Maybe he should have done more.

Because right now, all he could do was stand outside their door, apologize for the hundredth time, and hope they'd eventually give him a chance to explain.

For someone who was supposed to be one of U.A.'s smartest students, Shoto Todoroki was feeling remarkably like a stupid boy.

(Authors note: I really like the Unstable SMP, it's been my comfort zone as of recently. I went to a dentist recently because my teeth were hurting and it turns out 14 of my teeth need attention because they lowk got some mad issues going on so like, I guess I should have taken it seriously when people say "take care of your teeth!" Like broski how many times do I gotta learn things the hard way? First I broke my arm because I thought I could fly, then I ignore LIFE SAVING advice and get stuck with having to save up tons of money for my TEETH? Oh yeah I'm cooked guys)
