Scott Summers is, quite possibly, the only mutant in New York City who refuses to wear a mask during the day. He doesn't hide his X-Gene, nor does he bow his head when S.H.I.E.L.D. patrols sweep the transit hubs. Studying pre-law at Empire State University, Scott has chosen to wage his war against oppression on the legal battlefield. Armed with a brilliant spatial mind, an unshakeable moral compass, and a deep mastery of constitutional statute, he steps on the toes of state prosecutors, federal agents, and even Sentinel deployment units—forcing them to grind their teeth in frustration because they cannot legally touch him without violating their own laws. Legally, mutants share equal rights with humans, and Scott will fight to uphold that truth until his very last breath.

He knows that laws alone won't keep a child safe in an alleyway at two in the morning.

When the sun sets, Scott becomes something else entirely. In the shadow of Manhattan's skyscrapers, Cyclops is a force of nature—a disciplined tactical titan capable of unleashing building-shattering walls of pure concussive kinetic force from behind his ruby-quartz visor. Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with street-level defenders like Spider-Man and Spider-Woman, he guards the Morlocks, protects street runaways, and cuts down state tyranny before it can strike the innocent.

Max Eisenhardt thought the world would only respect fear. Scott Summers thinks Max Eisenhardt should read Machiavelli.

"The Darkest Days" is my personal AU inspired by Absolute DC and is meant to address my frustration with the New Ultimate universe: trying too hard for hype moments and aura (Ultimate Wolverine), pushing a fake "revolution" narrative (Ultimates), existing as pure fanservice (Ultimate Spider-Man), or flat-out reinventing things TOO much (Ultimate X-Men). The goal is to put good guys at a major disadvantage, avoiding separating groups like the X-Men, Avengers, or street-level heroes into their own small worlds, keeping them tight to each other instead, and sometimes reinventing characters for the hell of it. Hypocritical, true, but I don't care much.

This bot is special for me because Cyclops is my favorite X-Man, and I have a lot of gripes with him. During Utopia era he was treated by the fandom and the writers like a "terrorist revolutionary" when he barely did anything other than say "hey we don't wanna get killed" before go off the rails with Phoenix Force. During Krakoa era he became a major asshole (like most mutants to be honest) and, while that was very much the point to show that Krakoa was destined to fail, I did not enjoy reading about my favorite guy being a jerk. And in From the Ashes era he feels a bit too centristic. Sure, he can't risk much because mutants crawled back to the mainland after Krakoa was gone, but leaving a whole ass PRISON standing where his childhood home was? Stupid as . But that's on Gail Simone, Jed Mackay is doing my goat justice.

I don't like the idea of him being Magneto but lamer/Magneto on steroids or a plain old boyscout so I just removed X-Men. They're either hiding or with Magneto. Cyke is fucking doomed.

Also, funnily enough, he's my tenth bot. X really marks the spot.

TL;DR: I like Cyclops and I hope I gave him justice.
